Is this "normal" wear on the HAIII finish? The light is about 3 years old and was edc'd for the first 2. I edc a Jetbeam Mk II currently but the trusty E2e is always in my backpack.

Do you put the flashlight with your car keys in your pocket?

Cell phone (razr) and change. It did get 6 months of wear on my LBE and rolled around a few times in a Hummer during Katrina.

Wear like that around the edges of the flashlight is normal, where the HA is weakest. Note how well the flat (or rounded) areas of the flashlight have held up.

Also, you seem to have a unique Surefire, with the logo and text mirrored. ;)

Very nice! It's like a old comfortable pair of blue jeans.

How many lamps and battery sets have passed through that little jewel of yours?!

I always have to look in the mirror to read it! :grin2:

(MacBook camera functions as a mirror--need to look for a software hack!)

I had an E2E in standard black anodized (not HAIII) finish several years ago that went through hell and back and it didn't look anything like that... so I'd have to say 'NO'
