"One: Shuji Nakamura..."

So is the catchy opening line of an article in the Business section of Sunday's (4/22/07) Los Angeles Times. The story is about a book entitled "brilliant!" about Nakamura and the "Revolution in Lighting Technology."

What intrigued me about the article is mention of Cree, Inc., who is said to have approached Nichia and/or Nakamura early on, about some type of joint venture. Cree apparently was snubbed, and miffed, they became the "first of many" to try "poaching Nakamura."

Sounds like the book might be an interesting read--has anyone read the book? If so, any thoughts? I'll have to look for a copy.

P.S. Hope this book hasn't been covered before. I did a quick search, and didn't find anything, but searching is not my strongest suit, so...sorry if this is a repeat.

If the people are flashaholics, then they don't replace the lightbulb.

They just use their flashlights.
