<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Not really. It's pretty obvious on a flat surface like the wall I tested these on, but it's not noticable when using it normally.

One thing that I noticed is that your picture contrasts don't accurately depict the side spill of the LSH-P.

The LS1 has a bigger hotspot, but that is most of light pattern, where the LSH-P hot spot seems smaller but throws farther. In my experience, the overall light output of the total beam is better than the LS1. You can just barely see the side spill in your pic, but I just wanted everyone to know it gets downed out compared to reality.
