Anyone know of a drop in mod that will fit the old Kel-Lites? I've got two of these I've had for around 30 years, one 2D and one 3D. I'm not looking to convert them into light sabers, just a decent all around light for household and camping use. I also don't really care if it's an array of small leds or one Luxeon, but I am looking for good battery life. I've seen the m*glite conversions but I don't know if they'll fit into a Kel-Lite. I've also seen the replacement bulbs, and the one using the 3 small led's strikes me as dim for a full sized flashlight and the Epeion seems kinda pricey and I haven't seen any reports on it yet. I suppose I could build something myself, I've got the mechanical and soldering skills and all tools needed, including a benchtop CNC mill, but I lack the electronics know how. Any ideas?
