I just ordered a Q5 for my 3PD.After taking the head apart I can't find any+ or- markings on the emitter.The wires are color coded but the emitter has me:thinking:.I don't want to let out the magic smoke.

The positive solder contact has a + sign on it.

I can't see it on the exsisting emitter.Is it marked on the solder?I don't have the new Q5 yet.

It could be hidden under some epoxy or the wire.

Look at the Q2 photo, top trace on the emitter has the plus running slightly off the top of the page.

You know how the die has 2 wires coming off of cutouts in it and not off of the little shelf beside it? That side is negative. Positive is where the wire(s) on the little shelf beside the die lead.
