Will the L2D with Rebel work with a single Li-ion 14500 cell? Best guess? I was thinking the L1D body with the L2D head... We know the L0D will work with Li-ion as many have done it. But the rebel is a different beast.

You do know that the L1D/L2D/P2D all have the same 3 volt head. I don't know how far you can push the input voltage safely. The 14500 li-ion cells are 3.7 volts and typically top out at 4.2 volts with a full charge. Some people, including myself, are running the L1D/L2D/P2D head on the P3D (6 volts) body for short periods (30 seconds or less) of time with no ill effects. Puts out one heluva bright beam. Here is a thread on this topic.

The question I would like answered is...Can you run the P3D head an an L2D body with 2 x 14500 cells? I think you should be able to because the P3D can use 2 x rcr123a cells which would have the same voltage.
