Hi,

From my previous post I ordered a 6P.
I went ahead and ordered the 9P as well.
Now I see they offer Turboheads for both 6P and 9P.
I was thinking to get the Turbo heads for both.
Shall I get the Turbo heads for both, or just for the 9P?
Is the 6P Turbo worth it?
If I get both it would be about $155 total.
I could save my money and buy a M3Turbo instead.
Is the 9P with the Turbo head as good as M3Turbo?
From the specs looks like the M3Turbo has 20 lumens more than the P9 (105 lumens) Is there a lot of difference between 9P Turbo and M3Turbo?
The thing about M3Turbo is a bit bulky looks like in pictures.
I am only going to use the flashlights around the house, fishing, etc. not in combat.
Opinions appreciated.

Thank you.

MM the SRTH will fit both 6p and 9p The lamps are the n1 and the n2 respectivly. There is also a KT series turbohead but it is quite a bit more bulky...

THead for 6P is a waste of money. Cancel your 9P and get M3T.

p.s. THead for 6P and 9P is identical, the bulb is different.

p.p.s. Dear Al, why don't you take some turbo photos for our new friend, and forward them to the "Picture Post Central" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'd have to agree with FC... the Turbo head isn't quite worth the cost-to-performance ratio. The M3T on the other hand... hmmmmmmm... damn, I just know I'm gonna end up spending more money soon! Curse this flashlight illness!

I sent FC a few photos...

The M3T is significantly better than any other two or three cell TurboHead SureFire.
I'm writing from a practical perspective having not only carried and used the M3T over the course of a couple of years, but also been asked to field-testing it violently to see how it performs.

It performs!

I have all the other TurboHeads and I admit, specific N2 lamps in specific TurboHeads do produce brilliant beams, the MN16 in the M3T is the ultimate in output/throw/performance/compactness.

The 9P with 3" turbo using the N2 is a sight to behold however. It's beam is pencil thin and saberlike.

I have a few T 3" Extended Range TurboHeads, and a few N2 lamps. Yes, these and the 9NT are the best beams in the business.

For intense, thin, purity, there is nothing better from the flashlight world.

(IMHO)

FC stikes again!

Thanks FC!

I labelled up the photos. I believe there is only one label I have to double check with a higher power.
