Very difficult to do with the T-series construction. Check the modified forum, some may have attempted this in the past. Search on the K2 LED, too: recent post describing new performance characteristics may negate the need for a Cree.

I don't think the reflector will be deep enough to do well with a Cree. I know some people have modded old TRIOS X03s and such with SSC's. The light is hard to get into but should do admirably with an SCC. Try searching for "freeze pop" the method some have employed to open the lights.
