Led question...

which led is the brightest when driven correctly?? i have been reading about the Cree XR-E and the SEOUL P4 but other than those two is there a led that could take more abuse and be overdriven ?whats the most lumens anyone has achieved with a single led and reflector?? thanx.:crackup:

I guess the most efficient LED currently available is the Cree Q5.
Cree and Lumileds are expected to release new emitters soon, though.

by efficient you mean bright correct?? because sometimes you can have efficiency but the light might not be as bright .is the cree q5 better than the cree xr-e or seoul p4 ?

Cree R2 bins are now available, so they should beat out the Q5's. I have a R2 bin Cree sitting right on my desk, waiting to be installed into something. :)

I you are just talking about single die LEDs, then the Cree XR-E R2 would be the brightest.

The Rebel 100 was the most efficient(Not the brightest because it took in less power) but might not be anymore with the R2s about.
