I like the carry system on this light and want it for my Fenix LOD CE. Attach to your keychain a tube/sleeve with a keyring on one end and a magnetic docking port hole on the other end. Insert the flashlight and it is held in place via magnetic force. No fussling with your keyring bringing the light to service with one pull. Brilliant.

I notice that the recessed base of my LOD attracts niodium disk magnets, from DX, and they fit nicely. A little super glue and they would be ready for the keyring tube. Now where did I put that tubing?

Rube meets tube

One way to keychain carry a quick release AAA light, credit going to Toologic for the idea, using the following parts:

split ring of ferrous metal
Neodymium magnets (3 magnets sized 1mm x 8mm)
clear flexible plastic tubing, 7/8" x 5/8" in this example
super glue

This tubing is not a tight fit (1/2" inside diameter would be a compression fit, however, but would take fiddling to free the light). The magnet, glued to the dark end of the Fenix LOD CE, touches the split ring and keeps the torch on the ready line.
