Outdoor beamshots???

I am (still) looking for and EDC light for personal defense use(to augment carry of a pistol). It would help to see some outdoor beamshots of stock lights to help with my decision (LED or incan)

please limit the technospeak as I have no clue what you are talking about

Before you start asking for beamshots, you need to give more information.

You say you don't care about LED or Incan.. That's a start.
What about battery type (CR123, AA, AAA, C, D)?
How big and heavy?
Price range?
Do you want to mount the light on the pistol?
What type of pistol if you do?

There are more questions that we as a forum may ask, but this will help us as a forum to start pointing you in the right directions.

the light is to be carried in my front pocket (a clip would be nice)

it needs to have a tailcap switch--momentary push type

batteries--any--not recahargeable

size 5"longx1" dia appox

cost appox $125 (least important factor)

most important factor is being able to identify weather or not a target is a threat from at least 50 feet (though further is better) in all kinds of conditions (rain/etc)

if the light it bright enough to temporarily blind, so much the better

see--I feel it is important to have at least some non-lethal means of self defense to augment the carry of a pistol because it will help if I ever end up in court (criminal or civil)

any suggestions (outdoor beamshots included if possible) will be greatly appreciated

if it is from a modded light---and you have one for sale-- let me know!!!!!
