Batts and Manufacturers

Does anyone here know re batts which companies actually manufacture their own batt and who doesnt. I think Sanyo actually do make their own and so do Panasonic. Also probably Eveready which is owmed/made by Union Carbide. Not sure about Energizer and Duracell.

Gee, Eveready hasn't been owned by Union Carbide for years and years and years and years.


There IS no more Union Carbide !



Regarding your question, however,

it depends upon the battery size (type),

not just by manufacturer.



And things change over time, also.


Duracell (now owned by Procter & Gamble) just closed down
their Lithium battery plant.

They will now be "re-branding" Lithiums from overseas.



Hard to keep track of these things.


I agree, having a thread on this topic would indeed be helpful.


Hope some knowledgeable CPF'ers can contribute.
