Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes.

Kind of a newbie to the SureFire products. Got a M4 in trade. Have seen the thread about using a N62 LA in the unit to get 500 Lumens.

Has anybody tried this? Any dangers: Melt the Lexan Lens? Run the 123's dry in nothing flat? Thermal shutdown of the 123s due to current draw?

I'd like to know and see about giving this a try. Dan @ Tactical can get me the Lamp Assembly, just want to know if it will work.

Sure is a Bright Light. Yikes, now talking about going up in lumen counts..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You can run it for about 15 mins total I think. But that doesn't mean you can run it continuosly. About 3 mins per run before the batteries themselves shut down. Shorter time with lousy 123s and longer with better 123s. I don't think the Lexan Lens would melt.
