No inexpensive drop-ins for the E2D?

I can't seem to find an inexpensive LED replacement for my E2D. I'm aware of the replacement heads and the towers, both of which are fine ways to go I'm sure but more than I'd like to spend. Seems like I could sell my old light and just buy a new LED version for not much more. I'm not looking for a perfect 200 lm beam out of it (although that would be nice lol), I'm just tired of springing for bulbs and want something reasonable with better battery life. Any other options?

I don't think there are any lower priced LED drop-ins for the E series. The hole for the bulb is too big for most LEDs and there isn't that much space for heatsinking.
