Has anyone else who has one of these noticed that the half-turn of the tailcap, which on the 'standard' NDI causes 'lockout' - that is, the clickie is inactivated - does not appear to work on the NDI-silver?

Or is it just MY NDI-silver?

It's all the NDI Silvers. This is because they are nickel plated (which conducts electricity) instead of being HA-III (which doesn't conduct). On the normal NDI, only the very end of the battery tube conducts the electricity (hence why the tail cap has to be all the way on). On the NDI Silver, the threads conduct too so there is no lock-out possible.

Edit: fixed spelling errors I hope
