As I look through all of the threads I notice that it seams CPFer's favor the Fenix TK10 over the TK11. Is it because of the OP reflector with less rings??? It's just my curiosity getting the better of me. Please explain any preferences. Thanks!!!

I think I would prefer to stick with my TK10 as the regulation is better and I love the heavily textured reflector.

The poor(ish) regulation with 18650s in the TK11 is what puts me off buying one.

I thought about selling my TK10 and getting a TK11 ... luckily I waited for reviews first. The 18650 option could have been a big advantage, but the poor regulation reduces its worth highly. I would like to have a light which works fine with 18650, 2x CR123A and 2x RCR123 ... not an easy thing to design obviously.

So what´s a TK11 basicly? A TK10 with a slightly bigger battery tube diameter, a smooth reflector and probably a "disabled" low-battery-warning.

The tint of my TK10 is fine, the beam too ... and I´ve got plenty of AWs RCR123 meanwhile ;). So I´ll wait for the TK12, TK30 or whatever TKxy then, I guess ;) ...

The TK20 isn´t a competitor to the TK1x, but could "maybe" be a nice thing for outdoor use ... let´s see and wait for some reviews ;)

TK10. I got this light more for emergency use than EDC, and only intend to use primaries with it.

i put down my TK10 once i got the 11. i don't seam to use it much anymore. i primarlily use RCR123's in the 11 because i have more of them. so, i don't really take advantage of the 18650 feature. i have used 18650s a couple of times and have seemed to have had good results with them. i love the throw of the 11, and the low is great if i don't have an ultra low hanging around my neck (which is rather rare now-a-days). i EDC an 11 just about all the time at work, and a NEX just about ALL the time (which i have to force myself to do because my Nova 120P taunts me from the dresser every morning, but i gotta give the NEX some time in the game). i love both the 10 and 11, and i think they both have a specific use. i bring them both in a pack for all camping/extended outdoors adventures but, the 10 stays in the B.O.B. most of the time lately. Thanks for everyone responding, and keep it coming i love to see everyone's point-of-veiw. feel free to post some of what my wife calls flashlight porn (pics) on the thread.

This is sort of off topic, but I was wondering if anyone new what the diameter of the TK10/TK11 was at the tail cap? Thanks.

Hello!

I just signed up on this forum!

I got one question about the tk11.

From what I know the 18650 battery is wider than the CR123A.

When I swap for CR123A, will they "wiggle" in the chassi creating noice?

By the way, I'm comfused to, don't know wich one I shall get. Will mainly use ut outdoors within the military (forrests and such).
Help?

i primarily use CR123's in my TK11, and i dont ever hear any rattle from them. i own both the TK10 and TK11 and i use the 11 more. it's throw is much further, and it's spill is just as bright if not brighter than the TK10. i think i have found a SUPER TK11 though. i've had two other 11's and they were more comparable to the 10. i didn't have any problem with the other two i just came into them as gifts so i kept the brightest (which was noticeably brighter) and got rid of the others. i tested probably all of the TK10's at my local distributor and bought the brightest/prettiest beam of all of them (they weren't as noticable). hope that helps. i use the 11 indoors, outdoors and generally for everything. i EDC it on my belt at work along with a nitecore extreme around my neck for greater output adjustment. i don't use the 10 as much as i should so i can't speak of the better regulation that everyone is talking about. but, i have found that the 11's regulation is excellent, and if the 10's is better than i'm glad i have both of them:party:. anyway, take care and at least buy one of them they are great lights.

TK10, I bought one a few days ago... :sssh:

I don't use rechargeables and the CR123A would clicker inside the TK11. What's more, I preffer the OP reflector.

Personally I'm very disappointed with my TK11 in terms of regulation, and prefer TK10's due to that.

However, the beam on the TK11 is as perfect as I'll ever get for a helmet light for my mountain bike, so I prefer it over the TK10 for that.

I bought my first Fenix, the TK10. I did not know about the 11 at the time:crackup:

I like the 2 stage that it has:thumbsup:

it does NOT "clicker" inside the TK11 like i said i own them both, i have the TK11 in my hand right now with regular Duracell CR123 primaries in it hitting it on my leg and there is no audible sound coming from it. i think your a little late in the post. the OP definitley has a smoother beam.
