well I want to mod a two stage switch for fitting it to a single stage board.

the lone "leg" is the one contact with the board, and the pair of "legs" on the opposite side receive current alternatively with each switching cycle.
The problem is that the board does not have a dedicated electrical channel for the 2 switch contacts . So I Will just bridge the 2 "legs" with a proper resistor.
BUT is there a chance that current will flow back into the switch necessitatinga diode? (does it sound silly)?
