With the progress of leds over the past year, it seems it may be worthwhile to upgrade the led in my Fenix L1T V2.0 Q2. I'm sure somebody else has done this, so I'll search out tips and tricks on my own time (unless there is something I really should know about) but I'm trying to narrow down my emitter options.
Currently its stock with a Q2 bin, whatever tint. I haven't any experience with the warmer- what is it 5A Q3?- Cree's, but I have heard good things. I've also been very happy with the color temp and rendition of the SSC P4 USV0H I dropped in my 3D MagLED pill, just concerned there may be incompatibilies with the reflector (its such a perfect beam pattern as is, I would hate to screw it up).
And then there is the reliability aspect. This is one of my very few lights which I must have 100% reliable. What would be some pitfalls in this aspect (besides, of course exceedingly poor soldering or epoxy work)?
