DBS MC-E

I've just ordered myself the new mc-e! So hopefully it arrives tomorrow, im very excited but i just realised i only one AW protected 18650, but i do have 2 ultrafire unprotected 18650 2400mAh 3.7v, will they be fine to run my MC-E? The last thing i want is to get the new pill and to break it!!

I don't think you'd hurt the light but you might over discharge your batteries, ruining them. Ask Flashcrazy or AW himself just to be sure. If you need to get some more batteries, try 4sevens since AW seems to be OOS. They're the same batteries AW sells, which I read are the best, though a tad on the expensive side.

Did you order the extension tube with the MC-E? If so, you can use the two 18650's, just be careful not to over discharge them.

Or you can use 2xCR123's or 2xR123's without the extension tube.

Good point, I totally overlooked whether or not the OP ordered the tube . . . I think he would have figured it out after it didn't light up, though.

Yep i ordered the extension tube, i'll have to see what i can do about getting another AW 18650 then asap!

You can use two CR123's or RC123's. Love my MC-E CL1H.

Sorry, I prefer my DBS. I EDC both (DBS w/R2 and CL1H with 3SD Q5). My MC-E loaded DBS stays home until the moon comes up, though (I use the extension tube so it's a bit big to carry).
