I placed a freshly charged AW rcr123 in the light, and nothing ! I removed the battery and there is a faint smell like something is burnt. Does anyone have an idea what happened ? I replaced that battery with another, and nothing. I put the first battery in my Romisen RC-V4, and it works perfectly....not sure what happened.

Did the manual say you can use a 3.7V (4.2v off the charger) battery in it? From the website:

220/60 lumens
0.7/5.5 hours runtime
Battery: 1xCR123

I have used an AW RCR123 off the charger with no problem in mine, many times. I wonder what could have happened.

Actually, according to the specifications on the EagleTac website (http://www.eagletac.com/specifications.html?5) it does support 3.7V RCR123:

Uses one 3V CR123A lithium battery
(optional: one 3.7V RCR123A battey with protection circuit)

Your best bet might be to contact EagleTac or the vendor who sold it to you and see if they are willing to replace it under warranty...
