Hi,

A CR2 light modded with a red-orange LED spitting out about 150 lumens:

I did the mod, and it's only been through about half a CR2. Great runtime, extremely bright, and the red-orange color is very easy on the eyes for night vision. Flood, punchy beam but also has some throw. Will also come with a black leather belt-clip and magnetic closure holster that fits it perfectly (not pictured).

Also will include 5 CR2 Duracell Ultras.

All yours for $65 DONE SOLDED shipped. Thanks - first I'll take it takes it.

I like it. If you don't mind me asking, where did you procure the LED and what LED is it?

Thanks

Not at all sir. I got it from PhotonFanatic, and it's a R/O Lux III. The white leds take finagling (phosphor, etc.) to get the white color - the other colors have always had impressively higher outputs. Red and red-orange tints being one of them =)

Re: FS: Red-orange CR2 pocket flamethrower

Good question, silversurfer. I modified the reflector as much as I could to get rid of what was a null void in the middle. There's a small, tiny, tiny hint of it still - this is endemic to all the red and blue Luxes I've seen (for white Luxes, the phosphor smooths it out I believe). However it is hardly noticeable, especially 1' out and beyond. The rest of the beam is very smooth. Unlike many of the A2 Aviators' red leds I've seen, which are artifacty and look disjoint. Smooth rolloff to spillbeam too.

I'll take it if it's still there.

Thanks,
