Does anyone have this particular drop in?

P60 Style Cree R2 LED Drop In

What I want to know is how hot does it get when left on for long periods? Does it get to hot to hold the flashlight?

If any LED light gets too hot to hold the body, you just killed the LED....

Umm? OK? I'm guessing that is why he is asking the question. He doesn't want a drop in that will do that.

I doubt the BJ R2 cause that to happen. It draws 1.1A
But hopefully someone here has some experience with it.

I personally do not have the drop-in you menthioned. But one of my drop-in draws 1.325A from a 18650, and I think it's quite ok. It does get hot, but not to the point where you can't hold. The host is solarforce L2, so I guess your 6P would be OK.

I just ordered mine last night to go into my cabela's XPG host, this will be my first flashlight upgrade so I'll try to do my best to write a review on it when it comes in. I'll make sure I take note of heat as well for ya
