If you're concerned about length more than other factors you might take a look at the First-Light Tomahawk. It's the most compact 2xCR123 that I own and it fits in a pocket nicely, although that's not its intended method of carry.

The Fenix P3d/Pd30 is fairly small for a 2 cell light. I have seen very few two cell twisty lights as the twisty switches are usually reserved for compact designs.

The fenix P1d is a great light and is a twisty interface, though it is a single cell light. I am curious to see what 2 cell twisties are out there... anybody, anybody...

I have the Fenix P1D-CE Premium Q5 CREE Q5 on my keychain, 180 lumens, 2.8 x 0.8 x 0.8 inches ; 3 ounces; 1XCR123 . It's certainly small enough to carry in your pocket. It's bright, has strobe for emergencies, and has 3 levels of light controlled by a twisty - no clicky.

The vital gear 2 cell body & clicky is shorter than the Surefire E body and clicky but I can't help the OP with a really small 2 level twisty.

See my thread https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/230315

I have been watching for the same thing for the last 10 months since I bought my first Fenix P3D and I could not find a quality flashlight for every day carry that was the same size or smaller than the Fenix PD30 (118mm x 21.5mm / 4.65" x .85") that puts out 220 or more lumens.

Several come close, but for every day carry, no others can match the superior combination of features, power, and quality of the Fenix PD30.

This will hold true until new models using the new 345-lumen Cree XLamp XP-G LED are released.

(at only 3.5mm x 3.5mm, the smaller XP-G is rated 139 lumens per watt at 350 mA and driven at 1 A, the XP-G produces 345 lumens, which is 37 percent brighter, 53 percent more efficient, and 80% smaller than the brightest XR-E LED).

The Spy is out of my price range and the PD-30 has too many modes for me, Also I perfer a twisty switch instead. By being a twisty you could probally cut .500 off the length for EDC.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Smallest 2xCR123 Light (w/twisty)

The PD30 & 123^2 are 4.5" x 0.8" & twist for level only, eagle-tac & SureFire 2xCR123 L.E.D.'s are all at least 5" long & 1" thick... until S.F. releases the Titan T2A. :eek:oo:
