I was at my local Frys the other day and they had a few of these.
-Four bond wire XR-E
-TIR optic (fixed focus)
-Cells changed by unscrewing the bezel from the plastic body

It caught my attention because it looked like the bezel could easily come apart, and might make a nice mod host.

Does lenser recommend not using NiMH cells in this light?
Is it a resistor DD like the other lenser designs?

Please refrain from off-topic discussions, I am only interested in this particular light... first hand user feedback would be great.

thanks
;)

My little one uses the light when we go to the beach during the summer and i can tell you now that is has been holding up, it has been dropped, banged, and dropped into the ocean.....glad i was able to get at it since the light was on. Too me the light is more diamond shaped, might be the cause of the optics though.
