I have had a few Solarforce L2M's for a while now. All with solarforce 3mode R2 low voltage dropins (0.8v-4.2v).

I recently just took the positive contact spring off one of my dropins for an L2m to fit a single eneloop AA in it.

Still damn bright for a single AA, just checking out usable runtime at the moment. On fresh cells from about 5 metres its hard to determine the difference in hotspots between the same in a single CR123A primary setup or 2AA setup with eneloops. Might be time to invest in a light meter and do some playing around with configs.

Also got an SMO reflector and a few aspherics to play around with and see what config works well with a single AA L2M.

Might post some updates/pics when they arrive.

I'd love to see pics and beamshots - I'm always interested in P60 LED drop-ins that perform well at low voltages.
Thanks for the info,
K

Hi
I'm interested too. What would be the con's of this setup?
I'd rather use my eneloops instead of the expensive cr123's.

Please post some pics!
