side note, you can run various battery gauges without the protection, assuming the batteries themselves HAVE thier own protection on it.
you just have to make sure you get the correct voltage gauge thing, depending on the guage.
dont forget your balancing, now that your going series, it will assist in getting a full and balanced charge, that will discharge more in similarity.
