Blue \"Lumelids\" Arc LS * * PHOTOS * *

I was not going to post these pictures until Peter
posted something about them or talked about them in
some way . . . I did not want to "steal his thunder"
or let anyone see anything that he did not want them to see!

I saw this sitting on the shelf during my recent Arc visit:

Arc_blue_1.jpg.w560h420.jpg

The lady at Arc said they were "special" and NOT FOR SALE!

(Peter - if you would like to delete this post, please feel free to!)

They are very pretty in blue - the photo does not begin to do justice to the light!

Re: Blue

The word's already out.
That's the one he mentioned in his "ARC went camping" photos thread today. It's special made for Lumileds to show off their Luxeon product in a flashlight. Good choice!
Blue HA and special inscription. He didn't mention any other differences between it and a stock unit.

DOH! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
In rereading your post, I realize you DID read Peter's thread before releasing these pics. Nice job, BTW.
I got a little excited when I thought I had late breaking news.
Boy, it must of been hard to keep it under your hat until now.

Re: Blue

Awesome color. Maybe we can prompt Peter to do the LS4 in that shade of blue.

Re: Blue

That blue would have been nice on the upcoming AA light (though the dark green will be great). Here is the comparion shot that Peter previously posted:

Re: Blue

I'm a sucker for light green. . . . . just happens to be my birthstone color. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Blue

I don't know. I posted the pics only after people asked about them so I have had them for awhile at least.

Lumileds doesn't show any favorites although many conspiracy theories abound. According to our rep, us LED manufacturers each think the other is getting a better deal. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It drives Lumileds bonkers hearing us whine about getting special ranks, etc. I am fortunate to be able to make a Luxeon Star flashlight with good quality LEDs. I do hope that Lumileds' contribution to LED science is very nicely demostrated in our products.

Lumileds has commissioned several manufacturers to help demostrate the many uses of their LEDs solutions.

Re: Blue

I'm getting sick of black.

That Blue look fabulous, even the dark green looks good. Hey I wonder would the blue would look like with some gold leaf rubbed into the lettering?

Re: Blue

The special Lumileds edition is not for sale. Every unit we make goes directly for their use. However, you could ask your local Lumileds rep for one! Be forewarned however, they don't give them to just anyone.
