I don't It'll effect any of the parts, battery life might change slightly.
Some one broke it down for my under developed (electrical) brain as related to plumbing. The short answer is the zero resistance tailcap is like using a larger or better pipe than you need to move the water. As far as the led and driver there already rated and capable of the battery type designed for them.

There are posts in the existing ZERO RESISTANCE tail cap mod for Surefire Z41 thread that will answer your question. Any further questions would be better posted in that thread.
