I got the OP reflector and love it, but I got this drop in just for the flood factor. I don't think the smooth reflector will make it throw much better than the OP because of the twin led design.
By the way, I had a DBS flashlight before this drop-in and prefer this light for 95% of everything I do. Occasionally, I will want more distance outdoors, but not much. Something as small as a HDS will easily fulfill that requirement.
