Hi, I'm planning on building a Mag85 in the coming months, but can't decide on what batteries to use. This may be a good time to mention I know very little about electronics and batteries. At first I was just looking at 9xAA in the 3D body I have, but that would be inconvenient to charge, not to mention adapters and batteries being a bit pricey.
So far I've been leaning a little more towards using three 3.7v Li-Ion batteries like 25500s and the like, especially since I could pretty much make an adapter my self without much cost or trouble.
Basically my questions are how will three Li-Ion batteries compare to 9xAA in terms of runtime? lumens? Should I choose the three Li-ions, what specific kind should I get? I want to spend as little as possible and still have a good light, but that doesn't entirely eliminate anything. I don't care too much about runtime as long as it's not ridiculous, but I understand that it's not going to be the most efficient light regardless of battery type.
