HDS systems and Novatac lights

Hello

I used the search function but could only come up with a brief explanation. All I know is that Novatac and HDS/RA lights are affiliated in some way. Can someone explain to me in detail how exactly they are affiliated? Which one would you recommend I purchase today, and why does an HDS RA clicky twice the cost of a Novatac light? Almost every aspect of these lights look the same to me.

Please excuse my ignorance..I do have an RA clicky at the top of my list-to-purchase right now but only because everyone and their uncle recommends one. And they look sexeh.
