How to get the pocket clip off ET P2OA2 MKii?

Driving me nuts.

I remove the clicky then turn the next ring down and it turns as if coming off but really does not seem to go up. I've used pliers and a bottle top opener-the kind with the rubber coated arms that go around a jar or bottle to allow one to get a grip.

The clip seems like a 'c' ring where it is open on one side but even using pliers and a lot of force it simply won't pop free. I do not want to destroy the light or finish but am ready to simply cut the damn thing off where it comes out from under the ring if neccesary.

Did you first remove the rubber o-ring before trying to unscrew the clip ring?

Ummmm... Uh.... Hmmmm.... :sick2:

Don't worry we all did that. Laziness says don't bother removing the o-ring as the clip ring will push it out anyway when unscrewing. Then you learn it the hard way that there is a shoulder on the tube.

Actually it is good design as that shoulder will positively retain the o-ring in place while you unscrew the tail-cap.

:lol: Well, in my case it was a matter of not being able to see the O ring even using a magnifying lens trying to figure out what was going on.

I *knew* something was keeping me from taking that ring off but not *what*.

Took me less than a minute once you told me there was an O ring there.
