Looking for a 2x CR123 light (even though I don't have the money for it...). I know there are probably a ton out there. Can you name a few good ones that I should check out? I like the size of the EagleTac D25C2.

Thanks!

There are a TON of 2x cr123 lights out there.
What are you looking for?

price range?
output (lumens)?
flood or throw?
run time?
any specific size?
weight?
Do you want it to take an 18650 too?
strobe?
brightness modes?
moonlight mode?
SOS?
clip?

Maybe I was a little vague. :D I should know better after hanging around here for a while.

price range? <Less than $100
output (lumens)? <Lots - looking for something 300+ Lumens
flood or throw? <Don't know if I want flood or throw - it's just for around the house (until I can think of another way to use it).
run time? <Runtime isn't a big concern but of course more is better.
any specific size? <No specific size smaller is better - the Neutron 2C is a real nice size.
weight? <Weight doesn't matter
Do you want it to take an 18650 too? <Don't need 18650
strobe? <Strobe doesn't really matter
brightness modes? <Prefer variable or at least 3 modes
moonlight mode? <Moonlight mode is not a big deal
SOS? <Don't need SOS
clip? <Don't need clip but that would be nice.

Basically, I'm just looking for a real bright light. Most of my lights are 200 lumens or under so I'd like something 300+.

I found a few that looked good:
JetBeam BC20 305L
JetBeam ST Cycler 425L
JetBeam RRT-21 460L
Thrunite 2C - 340L
Fenix PD31 - 305L

I haven't had a chance to do much research yet. I just know they each use 2x CR123 batteries and have over 300 lumens.

If you have any opinions on them or other lights it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Since I really like variable mode I think I've narrowed it down to these:

RRT-21 460 lumens
V20C - 438 lumens
Infilux IFE2 345 lumens

The JetBeam and NiteCore are both out of my range.....

That's a pretty nice light. Where do you buy them from? I don't see many places to get one.

How about a Quark "X" Tactical 123^2 360 OTF lumens?

Or if you prefer a little more power the Quark "X" 123^2 Turbo 450 OTF lumens.

Excellent warranty and battery versatility.

Huh. Don't know how I missed that on the 4Sevens site. Thanks.

Bummer it only has 2 modes though....

Out of the three choices that you gave us, I would choose the Sunywayman V20c.

Here is a review for that light: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?319023-Sunwayman-V20C-review

If I was looking for a light that would be used for the house, I would want something that is rechargeable, something that can be used as search light (for investigating when things go bump in the night), and something that could be used as self defense. I would chose the Maelstrom X10.

I was about to cross the v20c off my list after reading a few bad reviews. I started looking at the Eagletac choices. They have some nice lights and the ui isn't too bad.

The maelstrom is just too big for me.

I emailed skilhunt and they emailed me right back. Their lights can bought at WWW.llsstore.com.

On the site it says only 2 modes can be programmed....

The Quark Tactical (and Turbo) has 5 modes that you set to the two positions on the bezel. You can always access either of the two modes you program the light to remember, and if you want the others you must reprogram it (which is very easy) and set one of the two positions to one of the 5 modes.

I'm not a fan of that UI. That's why I have an AA2 regular, not tactical.
I want access to at least 3 modes.

These Skilhunts are pretty nice.

4 modes, XML, 580 lumens.
