Maybe recycling LED bulbs that use remote phosphors will pay the costs to recycle the entire bulb. I don't even know if the phosphors are recyclable or even useful after 20K hours of use.

I was amazed at the micro shots of the phosphor itself. In my head, I always thought the phosphor material was very uniform in shape.
