Charging question.

I have this question in my mind a while now. Let me ask it by using an example.

First scenario: Lets say I charged AA NIMH batteries. The charger did put back 620mah. Its a hobby charger. Was this 620mah the exact amount of power tapped from the batteries? If not, what is the efficiency % when charging NIMH batteries?
Second scenario: What is the answer if the conditions is the same as above, but for an 18650 battery.

Just want to make sure about this:)

The efficiency of charging NiMh chemistry varies according to the charge rate and termination method. 1C charging usually results in needing 110% to charge a discharged cell. 0.1C charging results in needing about 140% to charge a fully discharged cell.

Li-Ion charging is nearly 100% efficient at "normal" charge rates, but the CCCV charge algorithm tapers the charge current toward the end of the charge. This results in a 1C charge taking 90 - 120 minutes.
