This is the Elektro Lumens Kong-12-XML, designed and manufactured by Wayne Johnson.
Kong-12-XML has twelve Cree XML LEDs attached to a large aluminum heat sink, and mounted in the flashlight.
Kong-12-XML is powered from twelve 18650 Li-Ion batteries.
The batteries are arranged in three banks of four (series of four batteries). The 3 banks of four batteries power the twelve XML batteries, which are also wired in three banks of four.
The voltage is a nominal 16.8V, and I use a small amount of resistance to keep the power level at around 3A per bank, a total of 9 amps of power, or, around 151 watts of power.
Each LED is putting out around 1,000 lumens, for a total brightness on high power of around 12,000 lumens! For a brightness comparison, a European standard HID headlight is 2,200 lumens.

The beam is around 8 degrees, not a pencil beam but not a flood beam either, and there is a lot of side spill.

And here is a link to a YouTube Video describing this flashlight a bit.

Ok, now that is a beast right there. Is it a fully custom host? What kind of heatsink? Which reflectors and how are they mounted? Are they U2 or T6? Is it Direct Drive with just a resistor? What kind of switch? Battery holder?

Sweet light.

Sweet light.

Fully custom host. Heatsink will be aluminium, and an integral part of the body. I can't answer about the reflectors or bin of the XM-L's. It is direct drive, using the resistance of the body - one switch is full mode, the other switch has a resistor inline to give a low mode (low... probably 2,000 lumens... hah!). I don't know about the battery holder.

Sorry to intrude - Good luck with the sale!

I've bought Wayne's flashlights in the past. They are very well done. I would suggest that one uses 18650's that are fairly closely matched voltage wise, and you should not have any problems.

I think it takes 12 AW 18650 protected cells which are included with the light. They are still on the original charge from two years ago and the thing is still like a light cannon when I hit the two stage switch. Low is amazing and HIGH is off the wall. I only used it once when an electric transformer blew in front of my house to help the electric guy on the pole. It was like daylight but I warned him not to look into the light or face blindness!
