There's this particular cabinet door in our kitchen that my wife often leaves open, and it had been driving me crazy; I'd get up and close it anytime I saw it open. But then it occurred to me why it drove me crazy - it blocks some of the light coming into the living room from the kitchen ceiling light. And then I realized that this is some intense internal drive within me, that I can't have any household installation or item partially covering or blocking a source of light. It's like Feng Shui but with light - "The light must flow."

So is it just me? Do you go around ensuring maximum light flow wherever there's a light source in your house?

We have to nearly close the door to the bathroom since I replaced the nightlight in there with a small LED nightlight bulb. Those suckers are way too bright in the wee hours, those darn LED's, lol. :)

I probably do more light reduction through closing doors and using diffusers or shades. I really hate glare.
