I've caught the bug...

Just modded my first flashlight.
A 3W Cree LE insert into a standard 3 call maglite.
Works a treat.
Reet bright.
Very happy.

MMmmmmm.
Oh Dear....

I've never been one to simply get things working again.
I am one to mod and improve.

When the 3.9 litre engine in my range rover went bang.
I couldn't JUST fit another 3.9 "standard" engine.
Oh no.....
Since the 4.6 replacement was the same price, I might as well have that.
And since it is being custom built for me - I suppose a large valve head isn't a bad idea.
With high compression ratio, high lift cam.....

My 1992 rangerover now has a 280 horsepower engine. (up from 180 horse).

When the exhaust on my Saab rusted, I fitted a stainless replacement....
Ended up with a full 3" abbott exhaust......

I think I am in trouble with these flashlights....

I already have the list of bits to build a Maglite ROP.

And I found a HID headlught bulb and electronics unit off a Jaguar S-type in the garage.......
Now - I wonder what I can do with that???

At least they should be cheaper to mod than the cars!!!

Yeah, I've been in the same spot. You're done for.

I'll leave it up to you to decide whether you want to know how much I spent on these.

Yea, I'd say build the ROP too, because it will save you some money on smaller lights, they just won't seem that great anymore.

Side note, with the Ranger Rover are there any worries about the powertrain being able to handle the new engine? Just curious.
