Will the run time on turbo increase if I use Powerex 2700 AA rechargeable batteries rather than AA alkaline batteries?

Yes it will if they are freshly charged and you use the light consistently within a short amount of time. NiMh batteries have a slow internal self discharge even if they are not being used. Though the Powerex batteries may have 2700mA hrs.........you'll only get that amount of capacity out of them if using them within a short amount of time after charging them up. Eneloop 2000mA hr batteries (low self discharge) are the way to go if periodically using the flashlight. Or for that matter are the best way to go all the time in my opinion.

I once had some Duracell 2500mAh NiMh batteries that were pretty much dead a couple of weeks after charging them up and with no use......just sitting on the shelf.
