Did some thinking and came up with an idea to prevent accidental switch activation when carrying/storing the Nitecore EA4.
This is what I came up with, first gather some simple tools as shown as well as a piece of bicycle inner tube and a small o-ring
Cut a ranger band about a half inch wide or so,
Use standard hole punch and make a hole in the ranger band
Finally, fit the O ring under the ranger band so it surrounds the switch but does not touch it, otherwise it will activate the switch. Position the band/o-ring as such and give it a try.
There you have it! The hole allows better tactile feel and still allows you to see the flash/indicator light. I find it also helps provide some otherwise lacking anti-roll capabilities.
Works for me. I've tried it in the holster, my pocket - where ever, it functions fine and cost nothing to make. It may affect thermal cooling but I haven't had much concern about that yet. It is very effective especially at preventing the light from inadvertently coming out of lock-out mode by an accidental soft or hard press.
Cheers
