Adding a battery extension tube and battery (18650) to a cree T6 torch

This might well be a silly question but if I screw on an extension tube and throw in another 18650 battery, won't that double the voltage beeing delivered? Torch in question is a single battery single led jobby.

If the light has a driver (meaning that it's regulated) then the driver will see double the voltage. Depending on the driver, that could mean :poof:

for the driver and/or LED. And if it doesn't have a driver (meaning that it's direct drive) then 2 x 18650 = :poof:

to the emitter.

So, it better be regulated and the driver better be designed for the extra voltage or else...... :poof:
