You finally cracked the code!
not an easy mod, and 2400 -> 3500 lumens is a nice boost!
Finally, S6330vn in quantity > 1
nice job, Vinh!

Would a dedomed one be possible and useful?

The 6300 is designed from the ground up to be a flood monster. Lots of lumens, very shallow reflectors, and an "orange peel" on the reflector surface that is designed to enhance uniformity of flood. Once you see how beautiful the flood pattern is from the Zebra, I can only imagine that de doming would take away more than it could give:)

Vinh, what is the temperature of the 90 CRI XML2?

Also all the other settings will remain as stock, and it lowers output due to heat same as before?

How much to mod one (that I have on hand).

You can put me down for one, I'll send partial payment now, and the rest friday.

@Mike Sloan - stock they are xmlu3, the temperature is around 5500k I believe, a bit on the warmer side, but not quite neutral white.

I'd be interested in seeing what a de-dome looks like too. For me the Zebras have always been too floody. A throwier 6330 would be a nice light. I've been wanting a smaller version of the SWM T60CS with a better UI. If Wayne's mods bring the Lux up from 20K to 30K then I'll keep the domes. Wayne says 3500 LED lumens. What is stock LED Lumens? I'm thinking that the current bump, and the XM-L2's throwier properties might make 30K lux.

I'm happy to report it does 31,000 lux on start-up and stabilizes at about 29,000 lux at 20-30 seconds run-time. Much better that the 20,000 lux I have seen reported for a stock light. My meter reads 34,000 lux with the T60CS.

Yes. No one has seen a dedomed version. Just got mine from the sale, and for basically 3 sc600 bundled together in one fantastic light, I am very impressed with throw. I would be intersted in seeing a beam shot comparison with/without dome

I figured, just wanted to check. I've been very unhappy about missing out on the sale. Definitely would have been online had I known when it would start.

Re: WTS: S6330vn - Ultra Compact High Lumen 3500 Lumen

Dedoming typically warms the tint enough to notice, in case someone who wanted a warmer version AND more throw, was on the fence. It typically drops the lumens a bit, but can ~ double the cd of the light all by itself.

Re: WTS: S6330vn - Ultra Compact High Lumen 3500 Lumen

I may have mine de-domed. But I'm worried about the beam quality. I would sure like to see an SC600 de-dome first though. I took my 6330 out last night, and the floody nature really made it hard to see what the throw is like. It was a little bit misty last night. I'll be in dryer climes in a couple of days to try it again.

I don't think Vinh does the SC600, except the original version. Not the SC600II's.

You would definitely gain some throw.

Re: WTS: S6330vn - Ultra Compact High Lumen 3500 Lumen

I'm sure I will. But I'm not willing to sacrifice ugly rings and donuts for throw. Zebralights have some of the most shallow reflectors in the market. I want to know what the beam quality would be. Maybe Wayne could stick an XM-L2 De-Dome under an S6330 reflector while he has one taken apart to see?

i wonder if the shallow reflector with the orange peel would have a hot spot in the middle for throw, with lots of useful spill.

Re: WTS: S6330vn - Ultra Compact High Lumen 3500 Lumen

Welcome back :D

How much for the SC600II LED swap, and maybe current boost on high? Any chance you have your hands on any of the XML2 SC600II lights?
