Thanks.

While it is easy for CPF members to not appreciate the tint and low output of the wonderful Photon Freedom, there are others who have great respect for this stalwart. I continue to keep Freedoms as zipper pulls on backpacks. (the discontinued rechargeable ReX is on my keychain, and the second generation Photon is on my wife's key ring) One thing I change is to remove the stock clip with a split ring that is big enough in diameter to fit on my ring finger, making it easier to not drop when in use.

Also, the covert tip does eliminate side scatter but at the cost of lost lumens. It is easy to use a thumb to block any errant light coming to the eyes while enjoying the substantial spill, lighting up the ground before you.

Thanks Again for highlighting this, truly guaranteed, light to CPF.

I was just looking at the LRI website yesterday. I wonder if they'll put the HS 5mm in. If so, how bright and how much more runtime will it have...?
