Z44 Bezel Ring Modification

I would like to change the bezel ring on a Surefire C2-HA and install an aftermarket ring. The current ring has the six "notches" where a tool would engage the ring. I know there are various tools out there to make the bezel ring removal/installation easier, but I am wondering if there is one that is generally considered the best. I am also wondering if there is a "best practices" method for removing the existing ring and installing a new ring.

From looking at my flashlight and at pictures of flashlights that have aftermarket rings, it appears the aftermarket rings cover the front edge of the bezel? Is this correct?

There is a guy here on CPF using the handle "RPM" that I'm pretty sure still does Bezel rings for the 1.25 heads. I highly recomend him but if he doesnt have them you can buy an Xeno, and they come is various designs as well as colors. I have several of them on my surefires and they are top notch is fit and finish.

Best grip and tightness is achieved when you can grab the bezel with both hands. For this, a vice mounted tool the way to go.
