How to tell the input voltage for some old D26 LED drop-ins?

I have a few D26 LED drop-ins from a while ago (R2, MCE, etc), while they are not the latest, they still function just fine and I'm thinking about putting them in cheap hosts for giveaways.

I have tested and confirmed that they all work with 18650 just fine, but I wonder if there is an easy way to determine what the max input these drop-ins can handle so that I can make better recommendation for battery choices (re-chargeable not being for everyone).

Please let me know what equipment I need and how to go about it.

Thanks.

If it's not labelled or you have a sku number to look up it may be difficult. One way to tell is to look on the boards and see what kind of chips are used. There's a good chance it is AMC 7135 based.
