Polytac HP lens fix?

My Streamlite Polytac HP lens got pretty scratched while in my pack :banghead:

. Anyone have any luck taking apart what seems to be its one piece head?

Streamlight eventually got back to me. The head is press fit so it looks like I am out of luck. They simply advised I buy a new head. May try to go at it anyways if that is the case. Will post here if I have any success.

I use to own the older Streamlight 2L 3W LED light, and the plastic lens was press fit in. I was lucky enough to be able to punch out the old lens and press in a new mineral glass lens, but I had to be very careful as would shatter if pressed wrong.
