Niteye eye10/15 question

Hi everyone. This is my first post here. I have a niteye eye15 and I'm wondering if there is a way to remove the lanyard hole piece on the tail cap to replace it with a jet beam glass breaker spike that I've seen pictured on the niteye eye 10 Tic? Is the lanyard piece screwed on and locktited or pressed on? I've tried and failed removing it with any of my tools. I've yet to try heating the lanyard piece up with a torch then trying to unscrew it but I don't want to risk damaging my new light if someone here knows that it pressed on.
