I am waiting on a P60 from vinh that I know will fry my stock tailcaps, so I have purchased a zero resistance twisty kit. I really don't like a twisty but it was the only thing I could find that would handle the amps (vinh said a mcclicky would only do short burst before frying).
I have found a lot of references and pictures of a Tofty switch specifically made to handle high amps, and fits in a solarforce tailcap, but I can't find any way to purchase it.
Can someone let me know where to purchase one?

Hi Deltaoutdoorsman,

As far as I can tell, Tofty has stopped making those switches for a while. Although he has been looking for someone to hand the reins over to, it just hasn't happened yet. You could of course post a WTB thread in the WTB subforum, though they probably won't be cheap.

If you're the hands-on sort, it isn't too difficult to mod a 10A Judco switch (SPST 10A 14V) to fit. It has been used in many a mod project for many years and lately, there have been a coupe of excellent and recent threads documenting it. Credits to Tana and mk2rocco for the very helpful threads:-

Here's a side-note for those doing high-amp mods in Prometheus Alphas (SST-90 Alpha :p) - the Judco switch mod is probably the best option to replace the stock McClicky. ;)

For everything else, e.g. Vinh's Quads, I'm using ZeroRez switches. Bomb-proof. Minimal Resistance. Though, as mentioned, it is a matter of preference.
