Thanks guys.

I get around 8 amps at the tail with an IMR and about 6 with a regular. I don't have a lux reading at this time, but color temp is 6500k 1C.

Good looking light!! I would probably jump ALL OVER that if it had a 5000K-ish temp (3D, 3C)

Would buy if you are willing to make one with a nw led even slightly on the warmside. Maybe a xml T5. Not up to speed with all the new emitters and bins. If you could recommend a led with a higher leumns out put in the 4000 to 5000k range that would be suitable for this light.

I think an XM-L2 U3 3C (about 5000K) would be right on the mark! I like a slightly cooler-neutral.

Thinks for the info markr6. Have been looking on line since your reply. Think an xml2 u2 4c might be what I am after. Just a bit on the yellow side. Looks like you can get it in high cri as well.

That's nice too. It's a personal thing, but 3C, 3D, even a 2A since I'm starting to lean towards the cool side. 4C is just barely too warm for me, but I've seen comparisons with that and it's very nice.

I wonder what host this light uses. It looks familiar and I really like it. Reminds me of the FOURSEVENS Quark Turbo 123.

I'll wait to see if vestureofblood posts again. Maybe Ill send a PM soon to see if another LED is possible.

Think it is a unbranded eagle eye X6 flashlight. Gets good reviews from people modding this light.

Yes, that looks like a good one...even the cheapo $20 stock version. Can't wait to hear back about the possibility of different emitters.

Good day gents.. I suppose a run of neutrals is in order then :welcome: .... I looked around a bit and found some options that are available for tint.

U2 3C
T6 4C
T5 5C1

These tints are fairly easy to come by so they will not effect price and should only add a few days to lead time. If you guys had another particular tint you want I can look around, but price/lead time may be effected :)

I will try to update the listing with some neutral options later today or tomorrow. If you dont want to wait you can order and just leave a note about tint.

Oh yeah!! 3C it is! I'll probably try to talk myself out of it for a couple days, then end up buying one. Standard "I don't need another flashlight" procedure :)

I'm not really aware of any production lights that have a beam like this, so I dont know what to use as an example.

The beam is very wide but also deep. It does have a hot spot, but the spill is so bright in order to see it you have to point it down at the ground some.

In this shot I pointed it down some and the exposure time is dialed back a notch so you can kinda see the "shape" of the beam.
