Fenix PD35 question

Is it possible to do a full teardown and if so, how would someone go about replacing the reflector to eliminate some of the spill? Preferably cheap and relatively easy.

Maybe your best bet would be contact vinh, get it led swapped and de-dome for extra throw, spill will still be there though, just a little less bright.

Thread is old, so more options available, maybe an xpg2 PDT which would throw far with less illuminated spill. I have a neutral xp-g2 in an acebeam ec32vn

So beam of the pd35 with the same led as the ec32vn would be similar to bellow as similar reflectors/sizes


Standard pd35 on left and ec32vn with xp-g2 de-dome(PDT is premium dome tint) See how much smaller the LED is for throw, and with the dome removed increases the kcd/throw
